In the Beginning...

SO! Here we are, the first post! Ah! Very exciting! A little about myself: I'm Crafty Betty. I sew, alter, bake, and am beginning to quilt...I'm working on my first one right now. A began sewing on my mom's old 70's sewing machine, dubbed the brady bunch machine because it has orange and green flowers on it. Everything I know is either from my mom or self taught. I am in no way a "professional" or even any of the really good bloggers out there whipping up a quilt in 2 days...no no I'm like the "gee I need _(insert anything here)_, I'd hate to go out and spend $20 on a new one...I bet I could make one myself" kind of crafter...I do it for fun. Its peaceful (most of the time) to sit down and sew something together, or make a card, or a blanket. I hope to push my knowledge and experience to new levels and you are welcome to come with!
